SEP4 Start-up Package #4 On-site System

Quantity in Basket: none
Price: $2,898.00

On-Site System: A portable, dust free blaster that draws the dust and abrasive material back into the unit as you blast. This allows you to blast on location without having to remove the glass from it's existing framing. Great for surface etching of shower doors, entry doors, sidelites, or transoms, room partitions, windows, table tops and many other items. Works well when doing positive surface etching (blasting the detail of the design and leaving the back ground clear. Not recommended for reverse etching (blasting the entire background and leaving the detail of the design clear) and not for shaded etching, deep carving, or frosting very large areas.
  • 1 ea. #OSB7 Pressure Pot Blaster: w/regulator, diaphram type media valve, and air actuated remote control foot pedal. This type of blaster has become an industry standard for sandblast glass etching because it allows you to use all the different glass etching techniques such as delicate shaded etching at low pressure, simple surface etching at medium pressure, and deep carving at high pressure. The blaster is placed next to the cabinet and the flexible blast hose fits into the cabinet and has a small nozzle end assembly. The foot pedal is the trigger.
  • 1 ea. PD2400 Stencil Cutter 24": Cut fine detail designs on as thin as 2 mil. vinyl film or cut up to 18 mil thick mask to achieve a variety of effects on glass such as surface etching, shaded techniques and multi stage carving, plus a shallow to medium carve on stone, granite, wood, and other similar items.
  • 1 ea. WinPCSign Letter - A Powerful Design & Cutting Program: Includes professional cutting tools with many features for fast cutting, automatic vectorization of jpeg and bitmap, design and editing, Fonts Finder which enables you to identify & use fonts from any scanned document.Compatible with Windows Vista as well as older Windows operating systems. The operator can be exposed to dust by opening the cabinet too fast after blasting, and when recycling the abrasive from the cabinet back into the pot blaster.
  • 1 ea. #1020 Filter Pair: for the 1010 half mask respirator above.
  • 1 ea. #7047 Olfa Knife,: stainless, to cut up stencils and trim transfer tape.

Air Compressor: (not included) Air Volume Requirement: 8 -22 CFM @90 psi (standard 1/4" ceramic nozzle 12cfm). Recommended minimum = 5hp, 30 gallon tank, 11.5cfm at 90psi rating, or larger.

Note: Some people doing on-site blasting use as small as 2 hp, 110v compressors even though these compressors do not provide sufficient air to blast for long periods of time. They simply modify their blasting technique to alternate short periods of cutting out the resist with short periods of blasting, as compared to doing all the cutting first and then all of the blasting. You can also use two 2 hp compressors to provide a longer period of blast time before running out of air.
